    Also addicted to marijuana

Im trying hard to quit, I guess the trying is the problem. Im glad to also know Im not alone. Although weed is very comforting at times its also can be very lonely. I never thought this would happen to me, I feel guilty and extreme anxiety, I also went on meds to cope with depression and adhd in attempts to stop smoking.. instead I added weed to the concoction and Ive never felt more addicted. Years go by that feel like months, people change and grow and I stay numb...I used to be sociable, now Im the only one that understands my humor, thoughts it feels like. I want to stop missing oppurtunities, seeming strange, and watching life from afar. I feel so insecure and mad at myself for being an able person and wasting life while so many others are living life to the fullest even if they are terminally ill or immobile. This has made people lose respect for me, including myself

    Default Marijuana Addiction Abuse

    Hi welcome to the forum.

Some of the things you say I can really identify with feeling when I used weed. It is a bit like going through life under anaesthetic, in hazy a cloud feeling numb, lonely and totally disconnected. It’s like a kind of dissociation which is actually a mental illness in its own right and can be caused by drug use. If your are experiencing anxiety, depression or any other type of mental illness, using weed is a bad idea. Long term it usually makes it worse. But if you quit you will have a much better chance of recovering and rebuilding your self esteem. You are the author of your own fate, so take control and write the ending you want.

How are you trying to quit cold turkey or gradually tapering off?

    Take care.

dont start smoking. weed is evil. make you think you know but we dont. smash your brain, makes your forget the name of your own mother. makes you think picking up an egg is like picking up a mountain. no addiction are better than the other. addictions sucks. suck you right in and the people with you if they havent made the weise choice to leave you.
Weed is bad. really bad. it makes you run to your death. i dont know why people think its harmless. it f***s your brain.
