Default Foods to help with general anxiety whilst quitting weed?

    Hello all

I'v been weaning myself off cannabis for about a week now and today i'v decided just to stop altogether. Not gonna lie, I feel terrible. Not all the time, but for a vast majority of it I feel incredibly anxious, depressed and sometimes even have episodes of panic attacks and heart palpitations when falling asleep. So I was just wondering, are there any natural food sources that can help with any of these symptoms? It's worth noting that i'm a vegetarian so obviously meat's are out of the question. A few kind souls have recommended 5 HTP to help, but i'd rather it be something entirely natural.

Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Lightbulb "Going Nuts"

Im standing by 5-HTP as a suggestion for you, if you don't want to do a supplement, (here is ingredients for one made specifically for cannabis withdrawal) You Can get 5-HTP from munching peanuts.

Since the human body does not produce it, you have to ingest it. You have to get a lot of it into your system to feel a difference. With extracts or supplements, that is easy. You are going to have to eat ALOT of peanuts to get it naturally. It's in other foods too, but with your diet restrictions i'm thinking "going nuts" is probably your best option, and peanuts are the most affordable as well.

Thank you again for replying my good man/woman. I shall definitely try the peanut method! Would Peanut Butter have the same effect or would it be best to stick to just the nuts themselves?

By the way folks I am sure people will have probably noticed but if they haven’t already then I should probably point out that the supplement just referred and linked to is currently buying advertising space for this very forum. However I would also like to point out that this is all they are doing, like nearly all websites and media these days we have to use third party adverts to fund our project, I am not however personally endorsing the product as I did not use it myself to quit, when I quit 7 years back I don’t think such a specifically designed thing existed.

As you can imagine it’s a potentially difficult situation having people review a product on this forum that is also at present its main sponsor, I am not for one moment questioning how genuine any particular users presence here is, but as you can imagine it could easily appear to many as a conflict of interests and as if we or our sponsors are trying to run some sort of phony astro turf infomercial type campaign through this forum which would obviously not be an appropriate way to behave. There is also the potential for owners of competing products to try and do a similar thing and start attacking their competitors product, these sort of marketing battles happen on the web quite a lot and obviously I as site admin have no way of knowing for sure who somebody is and exactly what their motive is for posting whenever it comes to discussing specific products.

Obviously none of these things are what anybody wants to see happen here and while I am happy to host adverts for products that I feel are appropriate and hopefully helpful to our users first and foremost this forum is run for the benefit of its members and I want to maintain its integrity, so considering this as well as the difficulty of reviewing our own sponsors product without looking biased I think it would be best if we refrained from referring to any particular brand product of this type from now on, whether it’s a sponsor of this forum or one of its competitors. Like I say I am not insinuating that anyone thus far has been doing anything other than trying to be helpful to other users but I think this will be the best way to continue from here on in order to ensure we don’t have a problem with such issues. If such a situation crops up again I think it will be best to edit out the reference to the particular product concerned and replace it with a link to this post explaining why.

    All the best,

I'm not really sure about peanut butter, I'd say stick to the nuts themselves. I'm not sure what the peanut butter making process involves, but it changes it on some level I'm sure.

Food that you like mate will help with your mood. Of course, between some limits, you have to eat healthy & nutritious.

Black chocolate (no sugar one) - 80% will do wonders with your mood. Don't eat too much at one time.
