    Default hashish

Hi everybody .... I'm from Palestine and I smoke hash only since there is no grass here and the hash comes from Egypt but I started with hydro when I used to live in Texas USA ... Annyhow ... I started smoking when I was 17 and now 7 years less two days later I still did ....my reason to quit is that hash made me achieve shit in life and made my main goal in life is when where and with who I smoke the next J and I quit everything I started with but now I'm in my first year in university and I decided to quit for good... So I wanted to ask does cipralex help when quitting hashish?

Hi and welcome to the group,

SSRI’s (anti depressants) can help if you are somebody who expediencies a particularly hard time quitting and really feel you have no other choice, I have spoke to many who have felt they had to use anti depressants because the anxiety and depression they experienced after quitting was bad enough to warrant it, keep in mind this may not just be down to withdrawal but also because their drug use masking other underlying problems.

The way I see medication like this is it has its place if you really need it, but IMO only if you really need it. The thing is with quitting pot is it’s very hard to predict how you as an individual will react, some go through a pretty tough time others find it not too bad, if I were you I would give quitting without a try and see how you go, if you feel it is triggering a mental health crisis you can always consult your doctor if and when you come to that bridge but hopefully you won’t.

    All the best,
