    Default sleeping problem

    Hey...
    Guys i have a problem... Mostly i can't sleep well at night now a days i am addict of sleeping pills....
    Even sometime pills also can't effect me when i am in tension... Guys how can i resolve this problem... i want relax sleep how can it possible

    You need to try to get off the pills for sure, but can you not sleep even with them? I'd try various things like a warm drink, lavender in your pillow, exercise before bedtime and even lying down concentrating on breathing properly and see if any of these work.

    Have you tried taking melatonin? It's the chemical in the brain that we produce naturally to fall asleep. I read a fascinating book that basically said that many of us do not produce enough melatonin to get proper sleep. I take 5 mg of melatonin every night about an hour before I want to get to sleep and I, fortunately, sleep very well.

    You may need to seek professional help to get off the sleeping pills. I am not familiar with an addiction to those and how to ween yourself off safely.

    Maybe you could see your doctor and get a low dose of amitryptilene (Elavil). It can be taken long term and in very low doses. Also I would try relaxation exercises. Did you know your body becomes sleepy if it's cold. Kick off the blankets, turn up the A/C and pretty soon your mind will only think about how cold you are and then cover yourself up and your body will be so happy to be warm you'll go to sleep.

    I agree with the others who recommended you see a professional to get assistance with your problem. I think it's likely that you need to be taken off those particular pills.

    Sometimes people feel like sleeping pill addictions are not too big a deal. But it can really affect your life and it can be dangerous. I hope you will talk to your doctor about a plan to get off them.

    I agree with the suggestion to try melatonin.

    You should try to do a lot of exercise about three hours before bed. I'd also try melatonin and warm milk. Try to learn some relaxation techniques also, they can be good for clearing your mind.

    Sleeping pills is not advisable by our health doctor here. Better yet to try natural capsules like MX 5-HTP that have Sleep help capability and support for sleep disorders.
