Default truly over weed and thoughts on mj addiction pls read

whats up guys, I wasnt going to write this but feel i should.Ive been reading alot on this forum its helpful to remind myself how serious weed addiction is, I wrote a message a few mnths back saying im finally stoping my 15 yr love hate cycle with weed. I did good for awhile then moved to Denver co, meet a guy with a medical marijuana card and went nutty with smoking the strongest weed for 2 months straight. finally got fed up with the bs and stoped cold turkey. first 3 days i was feeling very strong stomach pains. so much for marijuana not being physicaly addictive. ha
Its now been 5 weeks since i touched weed I had the the usual strong stress and feeling down. by now its chilling out still there slightly. Im very confident i wont touch the b s again I had my fun then fun turned into self damage. heck last week i went for a walk and found a joint roach in a baggie, at first a picked it up and was going to go home and smoke it, just to chill out the withdrawl factor. then decided to just throw it away. To me marijuana is alot like alcohol many people can use it here and there, and many people become addicted plain and simple. And ive meet few people who truly have control of their weed use. the people who think marijuana has no addictive properties are either the people who dont smoke and believe what pro pot people preach or they are the pro pot people themselves who are in denial due to clinging on to the its a harmless drug stigma to justify their addiction, or they are the lucky what seems to be minority who can use it here and there with no dependency problem. I know alot of people here think weed addiction is a self neological disorder. and i agree to an extent. but to i also blame weed addiction on the drug itself. it feels so good but leaves you in a mental haze. and we are made to live life sober and be are selfs completely, thats the true crime in any drug addiction you hand in your self identiy for a buzz. Its funny and sad how in book stores you see high times mags and other marijuana magizines show casing weed making it look so harmless, meanwhile marijuana is the number one drug people seek rehab and counsleing for thats a fact although i well admit many are forced to go there by judges.those mags should be behind the back counter with the porn mags ha. people want to believe there is a safe recreational drug that has no side effects and no chance of addiction and marijuana is that drug. but thats B S. from what ive seen weed doesnt bring happyness to people like many movies and songs want to you to believe. it brings alot of people misery in many different ways. yeah it does have some medical use for people in need of it and im not even to sure about the whole legalization thing. but i do know it can be very mentally addictive and hard to stop and these pro marijuana activists well deny this fact in order to get their agenda across meanwhile people are obviously suffering. I like many can never touch weed again not even once or twice a month. because after years of over doing it my brain is addicted i well only cause mental misery in between smoke sessions. I can only hope all who are suffering and the generations to come of all ages who have a problem with weed. fight it off and never look back.

Yes well done, congratulations on quitting weed and thanks for making such a good post I think you made some great points, I too have never heard of people having stomach pains or many of the other symptoms reported here from a psychological addiction like shopping or gambling, I wonder how many people like us are going to have to report their experiences until it gets recognised that it can have some physically addictive potential at least for some, anyway I am sure you have all heard me say this many times before so I won't go into it all again right now, but once again well done I think you are doing great.

Thanks for posting and please keep us posted on how it goes.

    All the best,
