What is your favorite beauty secret?

Everyone has such interesting tips that they have learned/discovered over the years. What is your favorite beauty secret you would like to share? One makeup trick I found was when applying your foundation, do not apply it in a downward motion - apply it in upward strokes instead! When you apply your makeup with downward strokes you actually accentuate any fine lines that are hiding there. (Not that YOU have any, but IF you did...) People used to always tell me I was putting my makeup on wrong for years, now it is more accepted and actually the more approved method!

Thanks for the tip! My secret is that I find free trials of facial products, Hydroxotone was one of them, join the free trial and then cancel. They usually require you to send the unused portion back but you can transfer the stuff to your own jars and send empty jars back. This is perfectly legal-I would not be advising it otherwise.

One thing I like to do is when I am buying a product for the first time, I try to find it in a sample size. They usually give you enough to be able to see how the product will work for you. It doesn't usally cost very much. When I find something I really like, then I search the store for the generic (store brand) equivalent. In the long run, you usually save money and get the same end results.
