    Default Funny story

One time I had eye surgery right after starting a new job. There must have been a mix up at the eye doctor's place because the new job's insurance paid for it but the old job's insurance company sent me a check for the cost of the surgery because it had been paid. I deposited the check and didn't touch it for two years-they never came after me.

Thanks for sharing beanie! That is a story you don't hear everyday! So glad it worked out for you. Too many times it is a struggle just to get the insurance company to do the right thing, which is pay the bill! It is refreshing to hear the good guys win one for a change!

Interesting. It's hard to get away with something like that because everybody seems to communicate. I am surprised that they never said anything about it after all this time.

Well, great to hear that no one asked you to reimburse the money but do be careful because I have seen cases where people have been prosecuted for keeping money they know isn't theirs.

You escaped with your life on that one! I'd look up the statute of limitations on that before posting it again. Thanks for sharing, though. We all need a feel good story once in a while.

It's definitely not something that I would have gone along with. I would have said something because I would be too afraid of them finding out and coming after me asking for the money. You never know, it's possible they still might.

Yes, do be careful. It may seem like a lucky windfall but I'd hate to think of someone asking for the money back years after you'd spent it!

Nice story man .. Thanks for taking the time to discuss about this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.
